a PIECE
A commission is an opportunity for us to create something together, starting with the pieces you’re drawn to and the space you have in mind.
Perhaps you’ve connected with a previous work but need a different size or colour palette, or you have an idea you’d like to explore through my practice. We’ll talk through the possibilities and find a direction that feels right, leaving room for the textures and unexpected details that emerge as I make.
THE PROCESS
An overview
01 — THE CONVERSATION
We begin with a conversation about the piece you have in mind: the space it will live in, scale, palette and the elements of my existing work you feel most drawn to.
02 — DIRECTION & QUOTE
From there, I develop a direction for the work and confirm dimensions, palette, pricing and an estimated timeline. Once everything feels right, a deposit secures the commission.
03 — MAKING THE WORK
I begin creating the piece from my studio in Byron Bay. While we establish a clear direction together beforehand, I retain space for the material and form to evolve intuitively through the making process.
04 — COMPLETION & DELIVERY
Once complete, I share final imagery with you before arranging the remaining payment, collection or delivery.
A FEW DETAILS
PRICING
Each commission is quoted individually depending on scale, materials and complexity.

DEPOSIT
A 30% deposit is required to secure the commission, with the remaining balance due on completion.

TIMING
Lead times vary depending on the piece and my current studio schedule. An estimated timeframe will be confirmed before work begins.

DELIVERY
Collection from Byron Bay can be arranged, or delivery and shipping can be quoted separately depending on location and the size of the work.

CREATIVE DIRECTION
Commissions are developed collaboratively around scale, palette and overall direction, while allowing space for the final work to evolve through my making process.
